Aerocircular® invited to present its business case at Circular Economy event of the S&D Group in the European Parliament
On Thursday 13 October the S&D Group in the European Parliament holds an event in Brussels on The Circular Economy. European Commissioner for Environment Karmelu Vella will give the state-of-play on the EU Action Plan for the Circular Economy, while the rapporteur in the parliament, Simona Bonafé, will comment on the discussions taking place in the European Parliament on the waste package. A closer look at the challenges and opportunities inherent in the circular economy will be given by keynote speaker Walter Stahel and other specialists. Aerocircular is invited for the afternoon session where ways to close the loop for transport vehicles (planes, ships and cars) and the potential of ecodesign, reuse and remanufacturing will be explored. Through an interactive debate young entrepreneurs, NGOs, project developers and MEPs will discuss policies, measures and new business models that can reduce pollution, avoid hazardous waste dumping in the developing world, decrease our dependency on critical raw materials, and support qualitative job creation both in the north and south. CEO Koen Staut and CSO Toon Wassenberg will take the floor at 15h45 to give a presentation on the opportunities of closing the loop for large passenger aircraft.
